Fund Creation

How to create your DeFund?

PreviousFAQNextInvesting and Withdrawing

Last updated 11 months ago

Step One

1) Connect your MetaMask wallet in the upper left corner of the page.

2) Navigate to the 'My DeFunds' button in the menu on the left.

3) If you don't have any DeFunds created yet, you will see an empty space with a notification and a large 'Create Defund' button. Push it.

If you have already created some DeFunds, this page won't be empty, and the button will be located to the right of the 'Managed DeFunds' line.

Step Two

Following that, you will be able to set all the details of your fund. These details include (listed from top to bottom):

4) Image of the fund — we advise using only standard image formats, such as JPG or PNG.

5) Name of the fund.

6) Description of the fund — you can list all your achievements here to engage potential investors.

7) Private fund switch. This setting allows you to close the fund to external investors. Only the fund owner is allowed to invest in the private fund. The private fund won't be visible on the main page but can still be accessible via a direct link. You can undo the privacy of the fund at any time.

Step Three

8) Commissions. This is the main source of your income as the fund owner. All the explanations below can also be found by clicking on the 'i' symbol above these commissions and settings. We duplicate them here for your convenience.

8.1) Subscription fee is a percentage of the deposit amount that will be charged from the investor in USDT at the moment of investment. Every investor will be charged this fee only once.

8.2) Performance fee is your compensation for generating positive returns for your investors. It is deducted from the fund's profit only if you achieve positive returns during the reporting period.

8.3) Reporting period — The duration over which the fund's withdrawal and deposit requests are processed and fees are calculated.

8.4) Indent — Withdrawal requests made within the indent period are carried over to the next reporting period.

9) HWM (High-Water Mark) switch — Enabling HWM ensures that the performance fee is only charged on new profits above the previous highest fund value.

Step Four

10) Lower in this block, you can see the 'I trade by myself' switch, which is enabled by default. Disabling this setting will allow you to appoint another person as the fund manager. Paste their address into the 'manager address' field and set their share (of total commissions). More info on the appointment of the manager — in the special instrcution.

11) Choose any of the allowed trading services. Swap is based on 1inch services. GMX supports V2.

Step Five

12) Choose whitelisted tokens that will be available for trade in this fund. You can also choose pre-made lists from AAVE or GMX (or both). You can change the whitelisted tokens at any time - more info here.

13) Approve the fund creation: check the summary and pay 1 USDT to cover the fund creation commission. We charge fund owners this commission to prevent scam bots from creating accounts. You will be charged only once. Don't forget to mark a checkbox above the 'Approve' button.

14) Sign the transaction in the MetaMask’s popup, click the ‘Create’ button and pay 1 USDT.

Your new fund will appear in the ‘My DeFunds’ tab within a couple of minutes.
